NEWSポストセブン｜世界遺産・熊野のご神木「ナギ」の鉢物 震災後の注文2倍に
世界遺産でもある和歌山県の熊野古道にある「ナギ」の鉢物が震災後、縁起物として人気を集めている。
ナギはマキ科の常緑針葉樹で、古来からナギの葉は“災いをなぎ払う”厄除けのお守りとされたほか、海が穏やかな状態の“凪（なぎ）”に通じる平安を祈るお守りともいわれてきた。熊野古道に通じる熊野速玉大社（新宮市）ではご神木として植えられている。
和歌山県と共同開発した熊野産ナギの卸を手掛けている、花き卸の「大田花き」には、昨年3月の東日本大震災以降、注文が急増している。
